I spent a little time on the track yesterday evening with the athletes as the prepare to head off to Jamaica to represent Barbados. ​

The Wedding Dress & Shoes

Sometimes at a wedding it can be quite a difficult task to place the wedding dress in the right 'light' to enhance it's beauty. However I lucked out with this one, even though the placement at the time might not have be the most ideal place, I was able to improvise and the below image was the result.​

Chaconia Andrelle

I met Chaconia through a mutual friend a few months ago. She's quite a sophisticated lady and has a extreme love for fashion. This young lady has a blog she recently started dedicated to the world of fashion and hopes to expose many of her local and international aquantances in her journey through the fashion world. We decided to schedule a brief photo shoot. Some of her images are displayed below. 

Team Work

Making an amazing image usually comes with a well organized plan and excellent team work. I recently worked on a project with a super awesome team. The lead photographer came out with amazing images. I'm fully aware that we need to always plan our shoots carefully and that's the point I'd like to make very clear. I'm sure every now and then we go out on a shoot and luckily we end up with images we like, however it'd be so much easier if we'd plan ahead of time and had people to assist us. When doing a fashion type shoot, you need to be sure you have a number of items in place:-


1. Make up artist
2. Hair stylist
3. Wardrobe
4. Location
5. Concept
6. Lighting diagram if using strobes
7. At least one assistant
8. Bottle water and maybe snacks

Sports Photography

I'm currently working on a new project were I'll be photographing some athletes. This is a new experience for me and therefore I'm going in a bit green. However I like a challenge and I'm determined to make this one work. Once I've successfully captured some images I'm pleased with and can repeat the process over and over I'll write a blog post of how I did it. So far I'm realising I'll be better off using my speed lights rather than my strobes for this type of stuff.

Just got back home from listening to the smooth vibes of Debbie Reifer @ Lime Grove Mall in Barbados. This girl is going places. Her voice is amazing. If you've not heard her sing you will soon.​ Debbie played along with Toby Armstrong and Marius Hawk-Bass Charlemagne.
